Frequently asked questions.

How do I make an enquiry?

Please email the customer service team for all enquiries regarding Bread Du Jour and Bakery Select.

Do you supply gluten and wheat free bread?

No, sorry we do not make this kind of product at this time.

Can I keep the bread in a freezer?

Yes, however, it is not necessary to freeze our bread, as it is delivered with long ambient shelf life and can be stored in any cool dry place. Freezing the bread does not do any harm to the product and once completely defrosted it bakes-off well and tastes just as good.

How long does it take to bake the bread off and do I need a special kind of oven?

Our artisan bread bakes-off in any type of oven and depending on the product it will typically take between 12 to 14 minutes to achieve a golden, crusty finish. However, you do not need to bake the bread off as it tastes great fresh from the bag.

How long will the bread last after it is baked off?

Once the bread is baked off it will keep fresh for up to 2 days. It is often best to cover the bread after slicing with a tea towel or place in a bread bin until it is required again.

Must I always bake the bread off?

No. All of our products taste great fresh from the bag and come ready to go.

Can I collect my order from the bakery?

No, we’re sorry we are not able to accommodate customer collections.

Do you supply sliced bread?

No, sorry not at this time.

Can I sell the bread to consumers in the packaging it is delivered in without first baking it off in-store?

Yes, all of our breads, rolls, buns and cakes come fully packed, labelled and date coded and are ready to be displayed on the shelf as soon as our delivery arrives at your store.

Do you have any point-of-sale material?

No, sorry.

Will the bread remain fresh on display?

Yes, providing you keep the product in its protective packaging the bread will remain in good condition.
